Abstract

Crohn’s disease exhibits marked heterogeneity in clinical presentation and disease course. This multicenter study aimed to characterize inflammatory signatures associated with disease severity. Serum cytokine profiles from 280 patients were analyzed and correlated with clinical indices and endoscopic findings. Elevated levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-23 were significantly associated with severe disease phenotypes and increased hospitalization rates. Multivariate analysis identified cytokine clusters predictive of poor outcomes. These findings suggest that inflammatory profiling may aid in disease stratification and personalized therapeutic decision-making in Crohn’s disease.
