Abstract
Early diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) remains a clinical challenge. This study aimed to identify serum biomarkers associated with early-stage IBD. Proteomic analysis was conducted on serum samples from newly diagnosed patients and healthy controls. Several inflammatory and immune-related proteins were significantly upregulated in IBD patients. A biomarker panel demonstrated good diagnostic performance in distinguishing early IBD from controls. These findings suggest that serum biomarkers may serve as a non-invasive diagnostic tool for early IBD detection.
